Project Overview:
East Homes is the largest multi tenure landlord across east London and Essex, providing general needs accommodation and home ownership initiatives for the Group. East Homes owns and manages over 14,000 homes in the region and has around 1500 new homes currently under development. East Homes is a Registered Social Landlord with the Housing Corporation and a registered Industrial and Provident Society. Armstrong York joined the East Thames Group under a partnering agreement from 01 April 2008 for duration of five years with the option to extend for a further two years. We were responsible for all aspects of Asbestos Management including HSG 264 Complaint management and pre demolition surveys, airborne fibre monitoring including the 4 stage clearance test, collection and analysis of bulk material, project management of asbestos remedial works, consultancy, advice and expert witness and asbestos awareness training throughout the organisation.
Our Approach:
The key to delivering a robust service for East Homes was a dedicated team of local surveyors and our locally based Head office and UKAS accredited Laboratory which ensured all projects were delivered on time and within budget and working closely with the client and updating their in house Asbestos Management system. Armstrong York managed the flow of information, materials, service and money across our activities and through the East Thames supply chain, in a way which maximised the effectiveness of the contract. We were successful in Supply Chain Management which reduced the costs to both clients and suppliers, while sustaining and improving added value and margins.
